Father Kregg W. Hochhalter is the Dean of Students at Trinity Junior High and High School. A native of Dickinson, and a 2003 alumnus of the high school, Fr. Hochhalter has worn the Titan red and white his whole life. He was in the Dickinson Catholic Schools system for nearly 14 years.
Following high school, Father Hochhalter enrolled at Dickinson State University as a Biology/Physical Education major, as well as a member of the men’s track and field team. After two brief years at Dickinson State, Father entered seminary formation at the University of St. Thomas and St. John Vianney College Seminary in St. Paul, Minnesota. He graduated in 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy. After his college graduation, Father Hochhalter moved to his major seminary formation at Kenrick-Glennon Seminary in St. Louis, Missouri.
Upon completion of his Master of Divinity and Master of Arts in Theology degrees at Kenrick, Father Hochhalter was ordained in 2012. Father Hochhalter is now entering his 4
th year of diocesan priesthood. Prior to his appointment to the Dean of Students position, Father served as chaplain at his alma mater junior high and high school.
Currently, Father Hochhalter is pursuing his Master of Education degree at the University of Mary. The administrative role has nourished Father’s fidelity to Trinity as a graduate of the system, in addition to moving him to be a tenacious supporter of the great mission Dickinson Catholic Schools lives.
